If you get the yellow light of death do you have to get a new ps3 do I have to play all games again or does and do I still have all trophies and stuff ?

playstation 3s have standard laptop hard drives in them, easily accessible by a hatch on the bottom of the console and a screwdriver. if your console goes kaput and you replace it, you can stick your old hard drive into your new console. then you got a spare hard drive left over. HDD has game saves, videos etc. im pretty sure trophies are kept with your online sign in, so if you were to set up your same PS account on another PS3 you could access your trophies.
Take it into a local game repair and you should be fine with your "trophies and stuff".
trophies are stored on the hard drive meaning you can remove the hard drive and put it in your new ps3.. or if your drive isnt compatible as in my case and you jus wanna keep your trophies to add to your trophy level you can put em on a flash drive by copying all saves and putn on your new one
